International meets

are level 1 licensed meets and the highest level meets. This include but not exclusively

  • European Championships
  • Commonwealth Games
  • Olympic Games

These competitions are often either televised or broadcast via YouTube Channels or Dailymotion.

Organisers websites often have life-links to transmission website or TV broadcasting.

International meets host the fastest swimmers within the regions they represent. Qualifying times for the Olympic Games for example have to be obtained under the strictest possible standards. Often such swimming meets are televised and swimmers themselves are filmed whilst performing with under-water and other cameras.

International meets are usually entered by via  British Swimming and national coaches are responsible for the swimmers.

Entry packs get published well in advance and swimmers need to follow the instructions as published to enter.
