The THH and HAC partnership

arena1Overall the location has solved a problem for swimmers and it worked out well. All those swimmers who left Bethnal Green Sharks to continue their careers at Hackney Aquatics have made an excellent choice.

Swimmers always just want to get the best training they can and it was a choice of the committed swimmers from Bethnal Green to move to Hackney.

The Advanced Coaching scheme provides training set to national standards and it proved a treat for swimmers who will compete at the Winter Nationals next week.

Madison is sorry to have missed the Arena league competition final but the team did very well. What a rise from bottom league to Premier League in the space of 2 years. The Arena League is a superb competition concept as it allows the whole team, across the ages and squads to come together as a team and seal the club spirit and set the tone for the season.

For many the friendship and team spirit make the choice to become swimmers easy.

Swim England nat. county champs

It’s next week on 7. October 2018 in Sheffield, Ponds Forge. And Hackney Aquatics has an entrant. Jude Costley is going to swim in the National County Champs team for Middlesex in the relay.

Madison won’t be going and I won’t be officiating there either. I’m going to do something much closer to home, I am going to help in the London Regional Disability Championships held at the London Aquatics Centre next Saturday, 6th. October 2018.

Nice and close to home and with little travel involved getting there and it is for a very good cause.

Had a lot of opportunity to speak to others about shoulder problems in swimmers and been given a lot of very hopeful feedback from other parents and swimmers.

So whilst Madison can’t compete at the moment, we help others where we can, whether its disability swimmers or at Arena League or our Club Championships soon to come.

Training still goes onĀ  with a vengeance and kicking is what keeps the fitness alive at the moment.

On the winning Arena team

Last week’s debacle at Barnet all but forgotten, with a swift recovery, Madison swam for her club @HackneyAquaticsclub at the National Arena League finals at Borehamwood yesterday and Hackney emerged as winner of the League 2 teams and got promoted to League 1.

It was a fast and furious meet with swimmers from 8 clubs hunting the promotion. Everybody gave their best and swam the fastest they could. Really proud to be part of the team.
